Prices soared even higher after the world\u2019s major producers, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, <a href=\"https:\/\/ancstockinvestments.com\/blog\/2021\/07\/06\/oil-prices-jump-as-opec-fails-to-reach-a-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">fell out<\/a> over plans to increase oil production in the face of rising global demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news left the oil market with tight supplies and pushed oil prices even higher.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Brent Jumps After OPEC+ Fails to Reach Output Deal\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3KvgClAHkD0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, however, the 23-nation coalition, according to a statement, will increase overall oil production by 400,000 barrels per day on a monthly basis, starting in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision to put their differences aside and increase oil production comes after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/07\/13\/business\/oil-prices-iea-opec\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">International Energy Agency warned<\/a> that the rift between the major oil producers could spike fuel prices, stoke inflation, and impede COVID-19 recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/CUDrflv6Ik3uRpPkj9XbdxHkxAERTMcXQkOMtYd9Vywo2kWFeNOoyXBXarxBUSfk_5GC6BHGSOjh7un4prZ3BrCeQrnnp3mxTQdgWwWI2PXGMc3SmFBZWUJNkkICVEtOq6VKHK-g\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new deal signals the end of the conflict between Saudi Arabia, the world\u2019s largest oil producer, and the UAE.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are here to stay,\u201d<\/em> Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia\u2019s oil minister, said at a news conference, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/07\/18\/business\/opec-plus-oil-production.html?action=click&amp;module=In%20Other%20News&amp;pgtype=Homepage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">New York Times<\/a>. <em>\u201cWhat bonds us together is way beyond what you imagine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also poised to return oil production to pre-pandemic levels. For one thing, OPEC+ made a series of production cuts at the start of the pandemic in a bid to ensure the safety of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/opec-stalemate-oil-prices-gas-8c759863-bada-48f7-8b4a-05cf87b89f07.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"gasoline prices spiked (opens in a new tab)\">gasoline prices spiked<\/a> when the world came to grips with the reality of the global health crisis, their highest levels in more than six years after OPEC+ failed to arrive at an agreement.
