Dubbed the Crypto Market Index Fund, the crypto fund is categorized under \u201cother funds for alternative investments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the fund would be regulated by law, the Swiss regulatory watchdog says it has been in a technology-neutral way to facilitate innovation and ensure that new technologies are not used to circumvent existing rules.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owing to the risky nature of crypto assets, FINMA has tied the approval to specific requirements. One of them being that the fund may invest only in established assets with a sufficiently large trading volume.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investments, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/finance\/swiss-markets-watchdog-approves-first-crypto-assets-fund-2021-09-29\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"statement from the regulator (opens in a new tab)\">statement from the regulator<\/a>, must also be made through established counterparties and platforms that are based in a member country of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crypto adoption on the rise<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the world, investors and governments are increasingly adopting cryptocurrency with 2021 being a record-breaking year for the crypto space. El Salvador, in early September, made <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/ancstockinvestments.com\/blog\/2021\/09\/07\/bitcoin-hits-52k-as-el-salvador-makes-crypto-legal-tender\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bitcoin a legal tender<\/a>, with Paraguay, Argentina, and Panama showing interest in adopting Bitcoin as well. Cuba seems to have followed in El Salvador\u2019s footsteps by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/ancstockinvestments.com\/blog\/2021\/09\/20\/cuba-embraces-cryptocurrency-follows-el-salvador-footsteps\/\" target=\"_blank\">permitting cryptocurrency use<\/a> in commercial payments.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join our\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.community.ancstockinvestments.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Trading Community<\/a>\u00a0for more signals!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan have also launched crypto-centered funds for investors as the demand for cryptocurrency rises.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US city of Miami has built its own crypto coin called Miami Coin which works on top of the Bitcoin infrastructure.
