Young Cameroonian entrepreneur, Ambe Nickson, founder of Cameroon’s leading investment firm ANC Stock Investment, is confirmed to be sponsoring the prestigious awardーBDMA 2021ーwith a whopping FCFA 10 million.

To maintain its stance as the most prestigious digital award that awards excellence in Central Africa, the Bonteh Digital Media Award has announced Big Brother Naija’s host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, as its host for this edition.

About the Bonteh Digital Media Awards

The Bonteh Digital Media Awards is an annual award event established by the Bonteh Media Network. The award honors and showcases players of the digital sector, technology, and innovation in Cameroon.

Each year, there are 20 categories at the black-tie award show, with 5 nominees per category. Winners of the BDMAs receive a crystal globe trophy. Nominations into the BDMA are done by the public and a panel of experienced individuals with knowledge of the digital ecosystem in Cameroon.

To be nominated into the BDMA, organizations and individuals are expected to demonstrate how creative they are and how impactful their work has been throughout the voting year.

Four years and counting, the Bonteh Digital Media Awards stands tall as the largest and most prestigious digital gathering in Cameroon. Its maiden edition was held in 2017 with Orange Cameroon S.A. and Euroboutique XR as major sponsors.

This year, Ambe Nickson’s ANC Stock Investment is taking the mantle to sponsor what has grown to become Cameroon’s largest digital gathering.

Known for his unmatched prowess in the cryptocurrency and stock exchange markets, Ambe Nickson has future plans to take the Bonteh Digital Media Awards international in the sixth edition, come 2022.

Ambe Nickson, Founder and CEO of ANC Stock Investment, said: “ANC Stock Investment’s commitment to the Bonteh Digital Media Awards is a celebration of the enduring power our people have to transform our digital media space.

“Through our partnership with the Bonteh Media Network, we’re looking forward to recognizing the best of Cameroon in the digital, technology, and innovation sectors.”

With many startups in Cameroon facing a lot of financial crisis, Ambe Nickson’s drive to sponsor this year’s BDMA is a laudable one. For one thing, the seasoned entrepreneur is among the very few who still believe in the vision of other fledgling startups in the country.

Through its seed accelerator program dubbed the ANC Startup Accelerator, ANC Stock Investment has ditched out millions to young enterprising Cameroonians and continues to empower these startups with mentorship and funding. The company’s injection of up to FCFA 10 million into the 2021 BDMA, therefore, comes as no surprise.
